Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol an aerospace and defense location in Devens, MA. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and perform patrols to deter incidents while maintaining a visible presence.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, Shift ownership through our Claim a Shift platform, and a commitment to safety and integrity on site. Prior security experience is helpful, with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting access-control concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
