Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Patrol in Bloomington, IL to provide customer service and security oversight at an automotive manufacturing site. You will conduct planned and random patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and log activities to ensure safety and compliance.

Shifts are overnight with a Monday-Thursday schedule. The role emphasizes calm incident response, professional presence, and adherence to site policies, and requires meeting minimum qualifications

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, manage visitor and contractor entry, and assist with vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow in accordance with site policies.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal site procedures.

What You'll Do

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
