Allied Universal in Barstow, CA is seeking a Security Officer - Patrol (Part Time) to provide reliable security services at a government human services site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts for extra earnings.

Pay rate is $20.46 per hour. The position includes a Saturday morning shift, with potential for flexibility via our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government human services location by following site procedures and security policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations professionally and per emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and direct visitors to service areas while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents and observations per site procedures and share information with relevant personnel.

As a Security Officer Patrol in Barstow, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government human services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, directing individuals to appropriate service areas while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
