Allied Universal in Apple Valley, CA, is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Enhanced to provide reliable security coverage with fixed anchor shifts and optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform. The role offers predictable hours and opportunities to increase earnings by taking additional shifts across sites.

The position pays $20.46 per hour, with Saturday morning shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:45 PM.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government human services location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Security Officer / Patrol in Apple Valley, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:45 AM - 03:45 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
