Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Newville, PA to guard clients and property at a logistics and distribution site. You will carry out security procedures, monitor access, and provide professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain entry records for visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Control access to warehouses, offices, yards, and restricted areas; direct authorized individuals to designated locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and escalate as per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized activity and report conditions.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to warehouse, office, yard, and restricted areas; direct authorized visitors and drivers to designated locations.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and distribution areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed conditions.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
