Allied Universal in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at the Visitor Registration Desk. You will greet visitors, manage access, issue badges, and support security operations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age requirement: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required.
• Drug screen may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor visitor access, verify identification and/or credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general site information, receive deliveries, and communicate professionally with building management and appropriate personnel.
• Monitor security-related systems, alarms, cameras, and communications equipment as assigned, and promptly report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or access issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
