Allied Universal in York, PA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Visitor Registration to protect clients at a distribution site. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and issue badges while delivering courteous service to employees, visitors, and drivers.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule with early morning shifts and opportunity to grow within a leading security services company. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, issue visitor and contractor badges, and maintain accurate access records.
• Control access for employees, vendors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures; help deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

• Technical Proficiency:Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204). This requirement is crucial as our operations rely heavily on technology for communication, reporting, and data management.

• Customer Service Experience:Candidates must have prior customer service experience (B219). This experience is vital for roles that require interaction with clients, customers, or the public, ensuring that our team members can provide exceptional service and support.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
