Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Visitor Registration in Syracuse, NY. You will greet tenants and visitors, manage access, and serve as a professional front desk presence at a commercial real estate location.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk and serve as a professional point of contact for a commercial real estate location, greeting visitors and providing directions or general assistance.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing passes or badges as directed, and notifying appropriate personnel of arrivals.
• Monitor lobby activity, entry points, and security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual conditions or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with Allied Universal leadership, property management, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
