Job summary

Allied Universal, Kahului, HI, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Visitor Credentialing to protect clients and maintain a safe, professional environment. You’ll manage access points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and respond calmly to incidents.

This role offers Fri-Sat shifts 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with pay of $29.00 per hour. You must be at least 18 (21 for armed), have a HS diploma, and be willing to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• State-issued security-related license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a utility location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access-control activities, and unusual conditions accurately and timely in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
