Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Visitor Credentialing. You will manage access points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor activity to deter incidents while supporting authorized personnel and visitors.

This role offers a flexible Saturday and Sunday schedule with morning shifts. Prior customer service or access-control experience is preferred, and you may undergo background checks and licensing as required by state laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorizations in accordance with site requirements; maintain entry/exit records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, and visitor activity; report unauthorized access attempts and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular/patrolling of assigned access points and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorizations in accordance with site requirements; maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, and visitor activity; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
