Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Armed Security Officer for Jacksonville, FL to validate credentials and safeguard aerospace/defense locations.

You will monitor access points, verify credentials, provide professional customer service, and coordinate with site leadership to maintain a secure environment. Prior armed security experience and an Armed Guard Card are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security, military, or law enforcement experience, or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card/License.
• Firearms permit preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Criminal history considerations per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control, visitor, and incident records; report discrepancies, unauthorized access attempts, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
