Allied Universal’s Part Time Unarmed Security Officer at Rowlett Rd in Houston, TX, guards and protects clients across Retail/Malls and other settings, delivering professional service with a visible security presence.

You will patrol, deter incidents, assist customers and staff, and use our Claim a Shift platform to build a flexible schedule. Requires a valid driver’s license and age minimums; background check and drug screen apply.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards; report observations and complete required documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by providing directions, supporting crowd management during busy periods, and communicating professionally with store personnel and first responders as needed.

• Mon: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
