Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) for a roving patrol role in Ruther Glen, VA. The position offers a part-time schedule with night shifts, focusing on customer service, observation, and maintaining a secure environment across logistics areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees following security procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and delivery issues.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of given areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
• Document observations and incidents and report concerns to the appropriate personnel.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, delivery-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support the verification of authorized personnel, visitors, drivers, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
