Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Elizabethtown, PA. You will patrol commercial real estate locations, maintain a visible security presence, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors.

You will follow site procedures, respond to alarms, document daily activity, and coordinate with site management to deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation for site management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
