Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, Florida is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol to safeguard clients across healthcare settings and other facilities. You will perform patrols, control access, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service to employees, patients, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time.

Pay Rate: $15.58 / Hour. Shifts include overnight on Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun from 11:00 PM to 07:30 AM.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner according to healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols across the facility including entrances, parking areas, and common areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per visitor management and access-control procedures.
• Document observations and patrol activity and communicate findings to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, common areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific visitor management and access-control procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
