Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Threat Assessment in Sun Valley, CA. You will protect clients, provide customer service, and deter incidents while maintaining a visible, helpful presence.

Key duties include patrolling, credential verification, logging activities, and responding to alarms. Minimums include 1 year security experience, HS diploma, and a background check; a guard card is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of security-related activities.
• Observe and report hazards, damaged fencing, unsecured gates, and other conditions that may require attention, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
