Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol Tablet Reporting) in Charlotte, NC. You will patrol, observe, and report security-related activities while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and visitors. The role emphasizes a flexible schedule and a strong safety mindset.

As a part-time position, you can build a shift pattern with our Claim a Shift platform. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour, with duties including monitoring access and assisting on-site staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Applicants must be 18+; 21+ for armed roles where applicable.
• Background check and drug screening are required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state and regulations.
• Driving positions require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors and clients following site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of common areas, lobbies, parking, exterior grounds and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and document incidents and violations per site requirements.
• Assist visitors and communicate respectfully with staff, tenants and first responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, lobbies, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting visitors, and communicating respectfully with property staff, tenants and first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
