Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.55 / Hour

1. Security Experience:
   • Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security‑related tasks and responsibilities effectively.
2. Technical Proficiency:
   • Candidates must be comfortable using a computer or tablet (B204). Proficiency in basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms is essential for job performance.
3. Customer Service Experience:
   • Candidates must possess prior customer service experience (B219). This experience should reflect the ability to interact positively with customers, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service.

• Mon: 02:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:30 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with campus contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
