Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observer in Long Beach, CA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, and assist with access control while delivering excellent customer service. Work schedule: Mon, Tue, Thur 10:00 PM–06:00 AM.

Pay rate: $20.50/hour. You will join a team focused on safety, reliability, and professional service. Minimum qualifications include at least two years of security experience, a high school diploma, and ability to pass

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail location personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
