Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare site in Fredericksburg, VA. You will patrol the premises, deter incidents, welcome patients and staff, and respond to security concerns using established procedures.

This role offers flexible daytime shifts, a pay rate of $18.54 per hour, and opportunities to grow through training and our perks program, with access to smart shift tools and retirement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain documentation related to patrols, observations, and response activities.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Preferred: Able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
