Job summary

Allied Universal in Allen, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor and protect retail locations. You will perform site-specific procedures, deter incidents, assist customers and staff, and maintain a visible, professional presence while responding to incidents calmly.

This position offers the ability to build a flexible schedule, training opportunities, and access to our shift-claim platform to explore additional roles and growth within a leading security solutions

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist customers, visitors, and team members with professionalism. You will conduct routine rounds, report observations, and support a welcoming environment through clear communication and teamwork. Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
