Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Entry Control) in Charlestown, IN. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, manage access and badge-related activities, and provide exemplary customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry, and report discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and coordinate with site leadership as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities in required reports and during shift handoffs.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and badge-related activities. • Sat 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry according to site procedures, and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact emergency services and/or site leadership as directed by established procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
