Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Equipment Readiness. You will provide security, assist guests, and maintain a visible presence while supporting our Claim a Shift platform to choose your schedule.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. The position offers a flexible part-time schedule with daytime hours and compensation at $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including public areas and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports and maintain professional communication with guests, staff, and Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including public areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports and maintain professional communication with guests, staff, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
