Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in El Segundo, CA. As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Badge Processing, you will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location, maintain a visible presence, monitor access, and assist with badge processing.

The role offers a flexible schedule with morning shifts and a pay rate of $23.14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18+ years for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization requirements for personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
