Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for Oxford, MS. This role provides flexible, dependable hours with fixed shifts and optional additional shifts to increase earnings. Pay rate is $14.50 per hour.

The schedule includes daytime hours on Saturdays. You will work at a designated site with potential to build toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include customer service, site-specific procedures, incident response, and regular patrols.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include a valid driver's license in accordance with policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat12:00 AM - 12:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
