Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Hermiston, OR. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings, while maintaining part-time hours and potential for a full-time schedule.

Pay is $19.50 per hour with a six month commitment to the anchor site. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with background checks and drug screening per policy.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures at the site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, parking areas, access points and perimeter.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Observe site conditions and report hazards or policy violations to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Hermiston, OR, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security‑related logs and incident reports.
• Observe site conditions and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
