Job summary

Allied Universal in Gresham, OR is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) to serve tenants, shoppers, and visitors across a range of retail locations. You will perform unarmed patrols, respond to incidents, control access, and coordinate with management while maintaining a safe, orderly environment.

The role offers flexible scheduling (Fri-Sun nights 10 PM–6 AM) and opportunities to develop customer-service and security skills within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors per location policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail location, including common areas and parking areas.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations; document observations.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with management and emergency responders as needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and traffic or parking-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, parking areas, exterior entrances, and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying by location.
• Monitor for and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns; document observations and incidents according to location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and traffic or parking-related concerns while helping to deter unauthorized activity and maintain an orderly retail environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
