Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Shopping Center in Gresham, OR. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in retail areas, parking lots, building exteriors, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns calmly; notify appropriate personnel and document events.
• Monitor access points and deter unauthorized access and theft-related activity.
• Maintain detailed daily activity and incident reports for site management and law enforcement.

As an Unarmed Patrol Professional at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and/or Allied Universal leadership as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
