Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Access Control Patrol in South Portland, ME. You will safeguard clients by patrolling the premises, controlling entry points, and delivering courteous service to employees and visitors.

This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to build a schedule that fits your life while contributing to a safer environment. A high school diploma and background check are required, with 18+ years age minimum for unarmed duties.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in clear, timely reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
