Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Jacksonville, FL. You will provide frontline security, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, while delivering excellent customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications site.

This role offers flexible weekend/evening shifts, a supportive team environment, and pay at $17.60 per hour with benefits common to part-time security roles.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete incident reports according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and responding to security-related requests in a timely manner.
