Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part Time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol Access Control) to safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sites. You will patrol, monitor entry points, deter incidents, and provide friendly customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers overnight shifts Mon and Thu 11:00 PM–07:00 AM, starting at $17.00 per hour. CPR and badge experience are preferred, with a high school diploma necessary and background checks/drug

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entry points, parking areas, and business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization; maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and follow proper reporting channels.
• Assist in protecting technology assets, facilities, and confidential operations by reporting suspicious activity.

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Help support the protection of technology assets, facilities, and confidential business operations by reporting suspicious activity and following established security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
