As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Verification in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to alarms and access control needs, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, traffic and parking-related activities, and coordination with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
