Job summary

Allied Universal in Philadelphia is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer to monitor and protect our clients at a logistics and distribution site. You will perform routine patrols, control access, assist visitors, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain logs and reports in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, report unusual conditions, and support security-related procedures for personnel, vehicles, packages, and/or deliveries.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
