Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Mountain View, CA. You will monitor and safeguard students, staff, and visitors; maintain a visible presence to deter incidents and support access control while delivering excellent customer service. Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $19.87 per hour. Schedule includes daytime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation per laws; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly following school protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, entrances, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity per site procedures; report unauthorized access or concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, classrooms, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
