Qualifications

• State, county or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or utility operations stakeholders while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned locations by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response activities as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or utility operations stakeholders while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned locations by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response activities as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
