Job summary

Allied Universal in Orangeburg, NY is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Officer to monitor healthcare facilities, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to staff, patients, and visitors. As a PT security officer, you will work with a flexible schedule (Sat and Sun shifts) and earn $17.43–$18.43 per hour.

You will complete site-specific procedures, respond to alarms, and maintain clear incident logs in a respectful, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare‑related environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
