Allied Universal in Orangeburg, NY is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

The role includes customer service, patrols of banking offices and common areas, monitoring access, incident response, and detailed logs, with a six-month anchor shift and a program to earn more through extra shifts.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established financial institution protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking offices, common areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or security-related incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements.

As a Security Officer Part Time Mobile Unarmed Patrol in Orangeburg, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.25 - $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
