Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting in La Canada Flintridge, CA to serve students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, document activities, and respond to incidents, while using a computer or tablet and supporting a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors and families while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per school procedures to support an orderly learning environment.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports in a timely manner.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out site-specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school procedures, helping to support an orderly learning environment.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
