Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly following facility protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitors and directions.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate with site leadership and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare facility protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access control, and the reporting of unusual activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, hospital staff, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
