Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard in Lawrenceville, GA. You will monitor and patrol medical office buildings, maintain a visible presence, and deliver courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff while responding to security incidents.

Pay is $19.00 per hour with a flexible schedule through the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, tenants and staff while following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the premises and report hazards or unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with direction and access-related questions as needed.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and notify appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, tenants, and staff while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the medical office building, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, assisting with directions and access-related questions as appropriate.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, notifying appropriate personnel of concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
