Allied Universal in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a part-time Security Officer (unarmed) for Emergency Support Patrol. You will monitor, patrol, and provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors, while maintaining a visible security presence.

This position offers weekend shifts (Sat/Sun), a pay rate of $18.94 per hour, and preferences for CPR/First Aid, high school diploma, and the ability to lift 20 pounds. A background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screen required by Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, members, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and report observations through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of financial institution facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access-control procedures, and maintain awareness of suspicious or unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
