Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Deterrence Patrol) in Corpus Christi, TX. You will patrol retail locations, provide customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (Day Time and Night shifts) with a pay rate of $14.00 per hour and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, community-focused team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation per laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and professionally, escalating as needed per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter unauthorized entry and theft-related activity.
• Document incidents and patrol activity accurately and communicate information to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
