Allied Universal in Washington, DC is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol, observe, and safeguard tenants and visitors at a financial institution site.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, respond calmly to incidents, and deliver strong customer service while representing a people-first culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff at a financial institution-related property by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required reports and logs.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
