Allied Universal Security is seeking a Part Time - Unarmed Security Officer in Charleston, SC. You will protect clients across logistics and distribution locations, provide friendly customer service, and help maintain a secure environment.

As a Part Time role, you can build a flexible schedule and contribute to a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity. A valid driver’s license is required for driving roles only, and basic computer or tablet skills are helpful.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle, employee, visitor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

• Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle, employee, visitor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
