Allied Universal in Freeport, TX is seeking a part-time Security Officer (TWIC required) to provide reliable security services at a chemical/petrochemical site. The role offers fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The position pays $15.00 per hour and requires a valid driver's license, TSA-issued TWIC, and at least one year of security experience. Applicants must meet minimum age and background screening requirements.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A background check and drug screen may be required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and facility concerns.
• Support compliance with restricted-area requirements, vehicle entry procedures, and applicable site policies while helping to deter unauthorized access.

Job Schedule:

Wednesday 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
