Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in Port Reading, NJ. You will provide security coverage on a fixed shift and may pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

The role emphasizes customer service, incident response, and site patrols within a distribution facility. The position requires TSA TWIC, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a background check.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws; driving positions may require a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report observations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify authorized entry, and maintain logs and records.
• Observe and report unusual activity and hazards to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time TWIC Patrol Driver in Port Reading, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report observations and activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the logistics and distribution location, including building areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and records.
• Observe and report unusual activity, damaged property, hazards, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
