Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time TWIC Access Control in Long Beach, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and patrol to maintain a secure environment at a utilities facility.

You will provide exceptional customer service and respond calmly to incidents, while working a weekend schedule with pay of $22.50 per hour, supporting a diverse team with a culture of integrity.

Qualifications

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the TSA.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Verify credentials and maintain visitor logs to control access.
• Respond calmly to alarms and incidents, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and entry points to deter issues.
• Document incidents and access-control activities, reporting to leadership and site contacts.

Sat 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Sun 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a utility facility.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or access-control concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
