Allied Universal in Olathe, KS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution site. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, gates, parking areas, yards, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities and incidents accurately per site procedures.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, gates, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities, irregularities, and security-related incidents accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
