Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time) in Kansas City, MO. You will help manage site entry, verify credentials, and maintain a visible security presence across manufacturing and industrial locations.

You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while using our Claim a Shift platform to build a flexible schedule. A background check and drug screen are required by policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws; driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the industrial location by verifying credentials, visitor authorization, contractor documentation, and delivery permissions in accordance with site policies.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery records, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, loading areas, business operations, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
