Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer/Security Ambassador in Rancho Cordova, CA. You will protect clients across logistics and distribution sites and provide exceptional customer service with a visible security presence.

You will participate in patrols, monitor access, and respond calmly to incidents, working within a fast-paced distribution environment with a team that values integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and follow security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report observations to site contacts.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor and document vehicle, visitor, employee, and contractor access per site procedures, reporting unusual conditions.
• Complete activity and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced distribution environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and document vehicle, visitor, employee, and contractor access in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
